Mexico is Closing Everything Until After May 5th

The President of Mexico announced last night on television that he is ordering everything to be closed for five days or until after Cinco de Mayo in an effort to put a halt to the spread of the Mexican flu virus.

The U.S./Mexican border is not being closed as has been asked for for the same five day period. In a move that makes absolutely no sense at all to this writer the President of the U.S., Barack Obama has passed an order that U.S. Border Patrol and Border Entry personnel are being denied permission to use the paper breathing masks when dealing with the people passing through the border, or while Border Patrol officers are dealing with suspected illegal aliens.

It would appear that this is being done at extreme risk to the health and safety of our border protection employees. If this is being done merely to lessen the visual impact of the fact that this disease is coming into the U.S. from Mexico, being carried by both legal and illegal entries, then this order is a travesty and shameful.
